The next day was about history: To get a better understanding of Korea’s past and the current situation between North and South Korea, we went on a tour to the so called “DMZ”. DMZ stands for demilitarised zone, which divides North and South Korea.
We started at Imjingak Park, where we visited the bridge of freedom. It received its name after both parts of Kore agreed to a ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners of war who were transported in a train that went of the bridge, hence bridge of freedom.
Next up was a visit at the 3rd infiltrationtunnel the North Koreans had built in order to attack the South. To date, they have build a total of 4 tunnels (at least the South Koreans have found 4 tunnels so far) but could never use them to attack, because they were always discovered before they actually…
